Shayna received her BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2008, and currently works in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Her studio is located in Jake’s Café: A Creative Community, among other creative professionals and entrepreneurs. She designs original, handcrafted limited production jewelry, as well as individual commissions specifically for the needs of each customer while integrating her distinct vision.

“I believe that no matter how small a work of art, it can display rich and intriguing details from every angle. The smooth matte finish of a jasper cabochon juxtaposing the flash of druzy crystals set in brushed silver or gold, and trimmed with the tapestry of intricately stitched fine glass beads.

Exploring surface and form, manipulating materials and engaging in new techniques drives me to make jewelry. I love acquiring rare and beautiful gems and minerals, and drawing inspiration from them. My designs often blend fabricated fine metal settings with the luxurious and unexpected texture of stitched beadwork, culminating in handcrafted wearable art.”
